A Historic BETA for Charles Owen

The 2014 BETA International can only be deemed a huge success for Charles Owen & Co. with the company taking home three fabulous awards and launching several new products to rave reviews.

Charles Owen was honoured to be named the best large stand with the judges commenting “This stand shouts professionalism – from the engaging staff to high-quality displays. Everybody was very well-presented, had an extremely positive attitude and there were some great-looking products!” Charles Owen prides itself on creating a welcoming atmosphere for all its customers to have the best experience possible while learning about the latest range of products or discussing strategy.

In the Innovation Awards, Safety & Security Category, Charles Owen was delighted that the Airowear Hickstead was awarded as the winner. Described by the judges as “A fantastic design that is virtually invisible over a show jacket, the Hickstead body protector moulds to the body for a comfortable and very safe fit” The Hickstead is the first product launched by Airowear since Charles Owen acquired the brand, and the success is a great omen for the future of the relationship.

The BETA judges panel also awarded Charles Owen’s latest helmet, the V8, with highly commended in the Innovation Awards. The judges said the helmet was “the V8 has excellent safety features, setting a high standard in protective headwear. The design is attractive and a removable, washable lining is hygienic and practical.” The stockists who had the chance to learn about the helmet first hand added in their praise and were very excited about the chance to stock this helmet.

Also launched on the stand were a few exciting additions to the Charles Owen range – a snakeskin trim option for the Ayr8, round fit helmets and fun new colours for the YR8.

The newest addition to the customisation options for the Charles Owen Ayr8 is a synthetic snakeskin trim to perfectly complement the Leather Look. The Charles Owen Ayr8 with trim has all the features of the signature Leather Look Ayr8 but with the added sophisticated detail of a sleek snakeskin tone on tone trim.

The new sizing option for a rounder fitting hat was launched for all of the Ayr8 styles, the Pro II and the YR8. These rounder fits allow for a greater variety of fitting options for riders. The safest helmet is one that fits properly, so it is so important to Charles Owen to provide the greatest range of sizes and shapes to fit every rider.

The YR8, which is a great everyday riding hat for the young rider, now comes in two additional colours to please the pony riders in every barn! The new colours are an elegant midnight charcoal with silver centre and a fun midnight charcoal with pink centre.

In addition to showing off the fabulous range of Charles Owen products, the team was delighted to present Roeckl gloves and Sergio Grasso boots – two brands that are proudly distributed by Charles Owen.
